Founded
in 1911 by the Presentation Sisters, Domremy College, Five Dock
is a Catholic Secondary College for girls from Years 7 – 12.
With almost 100 years of successful education, Domremy is proud
of its high academic success in a well-disciplined and safe environment.
Our
College is opposite Five Dock Park, and incorporates the historic
main building “Delapre”, which was built in the 1880s.
It is set in spacious grounds with tennis courts, sporting and
playing fields, and city and water views.
Philosophy
and Aims
We
offer a high-quality education which challenges students to aim
for personal excellence and to love learning. We prepare them to
meet the demands and opportunities of life in a changing world.
As
a Catholic school, we believe that a student’s faith development
should be integrated into her whole life and lived out every day.
To support us in this endeavour, we are pleased to have our Parish
Priests involved in the College’s Sacramental Program.
By
providing the students with opportunities and leadership skills
through our Social Justice Program, we believe that as adults they
will be women of courage and integrity who, through their search
for truth, can contribute to a better society. Domremy students
will be women who make a difference in our world.
